• Complete Loft - we offer a service from initial free consultation, through to “ready to paint”. In the first instance we will discuss what you are aiming to achieve and we will give you our best advice. If we think that a loft conversion simply isn’t a good idea on your property – we’ll tell you.
• Cellar conversion - during the initial free consultation we will discuss the suitability and possible layout of a cellar conversion to your property.
Type Of Loft Conversions
Fundamentally, there are two ways to convert a loft,
1. Velux Conversion - The roof stays the same shape and accommodation is created within the existing space. Here we use Velux roof windows, set into the existing roof line, to give natural light and ventilation.
2. Dormer Conversion - The roof may be extended by building dormers on the roof thereby creating more space inside. Dormers may be of different designs, e.g. flat or pitched roofed and vary in dimensions.
Cellar Conversions
• Fitting of cavity drain system to include sump chamber and pump to existing cellar space.
• Increased head room and enlarge existing cellar by digging down and under pinning the existing footings.
The Process
• Call us and arrange a consultation, when we will give you advice on options, approximate costs etc.
• When you want to proceed, call us again to arrange a detailed survey on your property from which architectural plans can be produced.
• Plans are then returned for you approval and submitted to the local authority.
• We supply you written estimate for any proposed work.
• Cost, payment schedule and work timetable is agreed.
• Work commences on your loft conversion. We arrange the relevant inspections as work progresses.
• Sign off, once all the inspections have been approved by the authorities the project is signed off and your can start to take full advantage of your new space.
